Business Development Director – Silicon Valley
A key strategy for the company is recruiting partners in the marketing and sales area. Indicee is looking for an experienced sales professional who will build a strategic plan, identify target organizations, establish a pipeline, and develop business to establish critical OEM and vendor partnerships that will create the foundation for the overall go–to-market plan.
This key member of the Indicee team will thrive in a start-up environment where a “make it happen, get it done” focus is critical. The key responsibilities will include:
- Develop business and close partners and select marquee end-users, delivering sales targets and maximum customer satisfaction
- Identify & target top named prospects and creating strategic account plans for vendors offering sales and marketing software and SaaS products
- Act as the prime partner contact throughout the initial partnership agreement through the post agreement to ongoing relationship maintenance and revenue based activities
- Provide guidance to partner prospects throughout the partnership process; including technical and business due diligence, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with partners to build mutual business plans and go-to-market strategies.
- Attend joint sales calls with partners and build a sustainable pipeline with regular reviews to maintain progress, expectations and deliver results
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success selling in a quota-bearing environment and will be responsible for expanding and managing business in the Business Intelligence market. The ideal candidate will know how to evaluate a partner’s business model to determine if they meet the criteria to be a successful Indicee partner. Additional qualifications include:
- 5 – 8 years of successful business development, sales, and account management experience with demonstrated results
- Experience in selling solutions and concepts to senior decision makers, including executive levels of engineering, product management, finance, executive, sales and marketing.
- A sense of urgency and a strong personal commitment to delivering results
- Ability to qualify and prioritize prospects, and generate opportunities through prospecting, networking and relationship building
- Experience managing and closing complex sales cycles Forecasting sales activity and achievements in Salesforce.com, while
- creating satisfied and reference-able customers Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledgeable in creating proposals with understanding of revenue recognition and royalty structures, particularly in SaaS licensing
- Understanding of Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and/or databases
- Excellent PPT and presentation skills and proven experience demonstrating product solutions in person, via the web, or by phone
- Technical demo experience and the ability to answer first level technical questions
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and skillfully navigating ambiguity.
- Start-up experience a must Ability to travel as required
Education:
It is anticipated that the qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree. Advanced degrees are preferred, but not required
