Security and Reliability

From day one, security and reliability have been top priorities at Indicee

Security

For any business application, security is a non-negotiable requirement. Security is not something that can be added later, but must be designed into the application architecture before the first line of code is written.

Security starts with the first log in. Once a user has signed in to Indicee, all communications go through a 128-bit encrypted https connection. Secure networking standards, including SSL and AES, are used to protect data during transmission and display. Indicee was designed from the get go as a multi-tenanted application. For example, Indicee creates a separate database for each data mart in each user account. Data will never be seen by another user unless authorized by the owner of the data mart.

Indicee is hosted by industry-leading Amazon Web Services (AWS), which enables Indicee to take advantage of the the most secure, robust and reliable data centers. Learn more about AWS security at aws.amazon.com/security.

To further enhance security, Indicee follows a service based architecture where all services are protected. This means that all inter service calls require both authorization and authentication. For example, in the unlikely event that a firewall was penetrated, an intruder would still have to pass through the security tier to access the underlying data service.

Reliability

In creating a business intelligence product, data reliability and integrity are essential. As a start up company, we have focused our efforts and innovation towards improving the user experience and accessibility of reporting and analysis.

We are not writing the core computational and data base components of Indicee, but instead are using established and proven open source projects. Our objective is to improve the reporting and analysis experience, not to re-write existing tools.
