What is a Data Mart?
In Indicee, a Data Mart is the location within Indicee that you upload your Report Data Sets into and use to ask questions. It’s helpful to focus a Data Mart on a specific business function, such as sales analysis. When you ask a question (build a report), you need to specify which Data Mart to use.
How do I see what reports have been uploaded to the Data Mart?
From the Data Marts page, select “Show Data Sets” to reveal a select list of Report Data Sets, and then “See all…” to move to the See All view.
How do I know if the report upload was successful?
From the Data Marts page, select “Show Data Sets” to reveal a select list of Report Data Sets, and then “See all…” to move to the See All view. The status field will indicate if the Data Mart is ready for the report interface, or if it needs more time to munge. If it ran into a problem an error will be displayed.
How do I add a new report to my Data Mart?
Once the first report has been added to the Data Mart, similar reports can be uploaded very quickly. From the Data Marts page, select the Actions button to the right of the name of the Data Mart, and select Upload Data. Upload the file just as the first file was uploaded.

Once the file is uploaded, it will be either recognized (enabling additional files to be uploaded) or not (which will require the mapping of data). The Report Data Set will now appear on the Data Marts page below its respective Data Mart.
If a file is not recognized when adding it to a preexisting Data Mart, it will require the its data is mapped. Once the file is uploaded, review the familiar Preview Data tab, and continue to the Map Data Sets tab.

Indicee will try and pair data in the new report, with previous reports in the Data Mart. This example shows two different date formats, which Indicee has paired. It has also paired the stores. If the mapping is incorrect or incomplete it can be modified by hovering the mouse over the field. Select Remap It and select the proper mapping, or to remove it from the Report Editor.

After mapping a new Report Data Set, the Data Mart must be verified. Continue to and review the Preview Data Mart tab. Next, the Preview Reports tab allows reports to be build of new and preexisting data without finalizing the upload. It is good to verify that any newly mapped items show up in the report interface.

Finally, complete the Data Mart Details tab, select Finish, and select to either Save Draft or Save And Process in order to return to the Data Marts tab.
How do I delete a report that was uploaded?
It is not possible to delete a report once it has been successfully uploaded. If the report has incorrect data, or is not wanted, a new Data Mart must be made. From the Data Marts page, select the right-arrow, choose Save As, and confirm. This will create a new duplicate Data Mart, but without data. Finally, each report must be uploaded once again. Note: Don’t worry if the report failed to upload since the data won’t have been added to the Data Mart.
How do I delete a Data Mart?
If at any time a Data Mart is unwanted, it can be easily deleted with all of the accompanying data sets. From the Data Marts page, select the Actions button, choose Delete, and confirm.
How do I rename a Data Mart?
The Rename function allows the convenient modification of Data Mart Name, Tags, and Description. From the Data Marts page, select the Actions button, choose Rename, and confirm.
